The 9th edition of UL 864 encompases more than 180 changes and revisions that greatly improve the ability of fire alarm systems to protect lives and property.  As a result of these changes that will take effect in mid-2007, construction documents for many present and upcoming projects specify fire alarm equipment that will no longer be approved at the time of installation.
